Anesthesia and Critical Care Technicians are medical professionals who provide support to anesthesiologists, nurse anesthetists, and other healthcare personnel in providing anesthesia services. They help monitor a patient’s vital signs before, during and after surgery. Anesthesia technicians also sterilize equipment for re-use and prepare medications for delivery to the patient. In addition, they may assist with preparation of the operating room environment or provide post-operative care such as wound dressing changes.
